V°E

Velocity of Emotion

Originally commissioned by Lever Couture for their runway event entitled “Velocity of Emotions”, VoE was made to sew the full range of experience into its 15-minute runtime. We are all living, breathing contradictions as we bounce from feelings of fragility to strength, bitterness to gratitude, struggle to serenity… May we embrace the constantly swirling yin-yang in our hearts and minds and find peace in its wholistic irrationality.

Leleka

A love letter to Ukraine

Vladimir Putin’s brutal, full scale invasion of Ukraine was a terrible lesson that history is not a thing of the past and something we will likely always grapple with. Most of the world was rudely awaken from a blissful sleep, but like a baby in the middle of a difficult birth, the only way out is through, and unimaginable possibilities await them on the other side of this horrible trauma. Leleka (meaning “stork” in Ukrainian) is an attempt to inspire Ukrainians in their darkest hour and help midwife this birth into a safer, more promising world for Ukraine and its people. The EP is a collaboration with Ukrainian icon, Tina Karol, as she adapted Ukrainian folk lyrics onto Macro/micro tracks to culturally bridge longstanding Ukrainian tradition with its forward thinking, modern identity.

Things Will Never Be The Same Again

Rediscovering life’s sole constant

The world has changed. You have changed. We’ve all been pummeled by the tides of novelty crashing into our lives and are trying to make sense of our predicament moving forward. But perhaps our limited perspectives block us from realizing that this is the eternal drama. Step back into that river and witness this once in a lifetime moment which will never be the same again.

Deliromen

A collaborative album with Omega

Macro/micro and Omega met through their mutual love of David Lynch and came together to make a collaborative album that wanders through the same abstract, nightmarish landscapes that inform’s their influence’s cinema of the absurd. To keep in tradition of Lynch’s absolute refusal to speak of his film’s meanings, we will also remain silent and let the listener dream up their own story while taking this sonic journey.

Sergey Kalmykov (Сергей Калмыков) was the Soviet Union's strangest surrealist avant-garde painter.  He also lived with an undiagnosed mental disorder now believed to be schizophrenia.  After decades of spending all his money on paints and canvases (with just enough left over to purchase white bread and milk for sustenance), furnishing his apartment only with stacks of newspaper bundles, making his own royal gown-like clothes of sewn-together garbage (in order to be "seen from space") and prophesying of a day where the Earth (populated by thousand-headed people) will revolve 17052 times per 24 hours, he died obscure and alone in a mental asylum in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

"The End Of Light" is the soundtrack of Светопреставление <<Сергей Калмыков>>, a contemporary theater production inspired by his charismatic madness and follows his detailed rules of how to create a masterpiece.  The music serves as a presence that is in constant feedback with the actor and stage design, creating a unified sensorial experience that exists somewhere between the fragility of a disintegrating life and the boundlessness of the eternal.

A Grain Of Sand In The Blue Mist

An audio journey of strange and powerful dreams

Think back to your most intense and bizarre dreams.  Were the laws of physics broken?  Did you become aware of yourself and your surroundings as if from a higher dimensional viewpoint?  Were your emotions shaken with shocking internal and external realizations of previously unexplored metaphysical terrain?  Did you experience a form of omnidirectional communication from unknown sources that was equally intuitive and alien?  We've all encountered the familiar other, yet we dismiss these rare moments as forgettable, inconsequential occurrences.

This EP is a hypnotic exploration of these life changing dreams that unite us all in a common, crucial yet mysterious journey.

No Stalgia

A time capsule meant to honor the past while focusing on the future

No Stalgia is a collection of beat-oriented electronic music recorded between 2014 and 2017, a period of time that has been more novel and beautiful than any other stretch in my life.  The album is a thankful recognition of my past that has led me to the present day and a stepping stone for moving on to future adventures.

Metempsychosis

The beginning of a long, tumultuous journey of horror and ecstasy

ME·TEM·PSY·CHO·SIS

ˌMETƏMˌSĪˈKŌSƏS, MƏˌTEMSIˈKŌSƏS/

noun

the supposed transmigration at death of the soul of a human being or animal into a new body of the same or a different species.

What happens when we die?  It's a thought that transcends language and is the unifying event that all biological beings that have ever existed on Earth have had to face.  With Metempsychosis, the listener is taken on a journey through the most common manifestation of the death experience for all walks of life (being consumed by a larger entity) and opens the debate for what follows.
